Now revived by the Seven Network with Larry Emdur now hosting, this popular work-out-the-phrase gameshow whereby a contestant's fate is determined by a large, ground-mounted spinning wheel originated from America and was ably hosted largely by 'Baby' John Burgess (along with letter-turning assistant Adriana Xenides) for many years before handing over hosting responsibilities to Tony Barber (for a brief stint in 1996 only to be replaced by Rob Elliott in 1997) and moving over to the Nine Network to host Catch Phrase.

This theme is from the Burgess era.

Simon Townsends Wonder World! - Early 80's

Initially hosted by conscientious objector Simon Townsend for Network Ten, this show featured roving reporters producing stories of interest for children.

Nine picked up the series in the early 90's with a variety of hosts including Pascall "Your Life on the Lawn" Fox and Catriona "Getaway" Rowntree - the production company responsible for the Nine series was the amusingly titled A Couple of Cowboys, who also released two popular horror-themed video-boardgames Nightmare and Atmosfear.
