RealMedia Graham Kennedy Show (1010kb)

The famous and (almost) complete, B&W 60's kinescope recording of the robot scene from GTV9 Melbourne's The Graham Kennedy Show (or In Melbourne Tonight).

This live commercial for TIMEX watches consists of "Cyril" the robot, who once activated, goes out of control and proceeds to destroy the entire set, or more so the entire studio! Although the studio didn't stand a chance, the TIMEX watch survived!

Graham Kennedy was, and still is (even in death), regarded as the "King of Australian Television", with his remarkable ability to entertain audiences Australia-wide and turn the most mundane scene into total chaos. He absolutely strung this scene out for all it was worth, and as such this scene has been edited for time to keep it to a respectable file size for the Internet.

RealMedia Graham Kennedy Robot Scene (3478kb)

The complete classic "exploding cannon" scene. This concept was copied later by Daryl Somers on Hey Hey It's Saturday.
