AATEC VHS Videotape - Late 80s

"Out of the future comes the tape forever"...well, in the
late 80s, VHS videotape was very futuristic, so Iain Finlay, reporter from Channel 7's
Beyond 2000 series talks about how this tape is made right
here in Australia. Ironically, the dawn of the new century sees - more or less - the
slow demise of VHS, with optical formats taking centre stage.

Aired frequently in the 80s in NSW, this ad was rather dated even by 80s
standards - an all singing and dancing type commercial..."for all things
television and appliance rentals!" Catchy theme tune (you won't forget their phone number, we
guarantee it!) which was often
parodied, for example "Electronic Snails and Lentils" was
a favourite modification among kids....and adults
