QTQ9 Brisbane [Discuss]

QTQ9 is the analogue callsign of the Nine Network's Brisbane-based television station. It was the first television station to start transmission in Queensland. QTQ commenced broadcasting on the 16th of August 1959.

In 1980, the station was purchased by AWA Limited. Five years later it was sold again, this time to Alan Bond. It finally became a full member of the Nine Network in 1987 when Bond bought TCN-9&GTV-9 from Kerry Packer for $1 billion.
