The Aunty Jack Show (1972 - 73)
|
|
|
A popular, sometimes controversial (for its time) sketch-comedy series from the 70's
made by the ABC from the warped, surrealistic minds of Grahame Bond, Rory O'Donoghue et. al.
Bond (who, many years later, would become the resident architect on lifestyle programme
Better Homes and Gardens) played the titular cross-dressing, boxing-glove-wearing,
motorbike-riding old kook, that lived with a whole host of other similarly anarchic
characters including Narrator Neville, Thin Arthur and Flange Desire - this was the
key recurring sketch throughout the show.In all, 14 episodes of half-an-hour each over two series were produced.
